It has been a roller coaster week for me. I was on a roll, getting all of readings done, chores completed, and getting my “sits” in. I was feeling pretty good.
Then I ran into a few hurdles, as I am not a technical guru. I was trying to get some things done online, and was going around in circles, so I set it aside. I had to go to the hospital in the next town to schedule tests and procedures for a family member. We ended up spending most of the day there waiting in lines, getting shuffled around from office to office, and waiting for doctors to get back from lunch.
By the time we got back home, it was early evening, only to find that the family dog had gotten out of the house and had disappeared. A couple of hours of searching nearby neighborhoods were to no avail. Everyone was upset. By the time I was able to get to my readings, I was very tired. The dog showed up a couple of hours later like nothing had happened.
We were scheduled to go back to the hospital this morning for the tests and exams, only to find out that we were given the wrong time, and we were a couple of hours late to have the tests done. So, we have to back again tomorrow morning for the tests.
I have been at an emotional low the last 2 days. My DMP (definite major purpose) statement is a mess, and I’m considering starting over from scratch. Blog is late in being submitted. Readings have been missed. It’s been two steps forward, and one step back this week. But I am going to finish strong!

Michael, you’re replacing one habit with another habit. That’s never easy. And yes, you’ll hit speed bumps. The mere fact that you realize this is such a win!
Michael, I totally get it! But we are still facing forward! And like Day said…that’s a win! Glad your dog is home 🙂
Wow, Michael. I get the roller coaster! Situations occur to test us, to support us, to strengthen us, to challenge us, and you’re already coming through with great determination and persistence. I count that as a win!!
