This week was a mind blowing “Ah Ha Week”. We read about the mental, physical and spiritual relationship of the subconscious and conscious minds. It’s why “Lumosity, Focus & Decision Time” is the title of this week’s blog.
Let’s start with Decision Time. Since our thoughts create our reality (darn it), something I am thinking about all the time, dictates my behavior, actions and results 100% of the time good or bad. So thinking contrary to “what I want”, (key phrase here), really messes me up!
When I “decide” consciously to go after what I want instead of worry about not succeeding at what I want, I’ll get what I want. Okey Dokey. Let’s move on.
Moving on. Well, that takes courage (darn it)! Yet, when I Focus, fear is obliterated, which brings me great Joy!!! So what’s the problem. . . distractions. Distractions take me away from my Focus as my feelings and emotions, behaviors and actions love the dopamine hits of Lumosity.
Lumosity is a distraction. I can complete a “free daily workout of assorted cognitive tasks” and win the game! It shows my Lumosity Performance Index (LPI) comparing my cognitive strengths and weaknesses. And guess what my highest score is? Attention! Translation and Question. What would my results be if I retire Lumosity?
Let’s see . . .
Joy!

Games are fun to play and give us those dopamine hits that people get addicted to. I had not heard of Lumosity until now. The research is very interesting. Due to you mentioning this, is this something you are planning to give up achieving your desires?
The deciding part is huge DJ! Our thoughts do create our reality. I found great pleasure in reading your blog post and am looking forward to reading the next.
Yes ‘ah ha’ moments are certainly eye opening!
My peptide addiction was my ‘ah ha’ realization…
Life becomes our own after these discoveries are found and we apply what we learned via MKE!!!
Love it Debra, it is not ‘if’ you retire Lumisoty it is when. I can see you are well on your way your doing just that and JOY.
I understand the distractions…we shall conquer it all!
Those Aha moments can be amazing, can’t they? Good for you to recognize and take action on your insights!
