My name is Tarsha Burton and while originally from Maryland, I greet you from sunny Tampa, Florida.
Maryland never felt like home, so I always knew that I wouldn’t reside there, once I had a choice. I enrolled at the prestigious historically Black college Clark Atlanta University where I majored in public relations. I resided in Atlanta for 10 years before returning to Maryland for one last stint and to help my mom with my younger brother.
I came to live in Florida after being laid off in 2016 from a job that had me taking over 250 flights per year for five consecutive years. Post lay-off, I chose not to brave another northeast blizzard, packed my belongings and headed south. It’s a decision that I’m extremely proud of.
I believe that it is my responsibility to contribute to making this world a better place and so I am a firm believer in community outreach and know that my Florida presence can reach further. I am a former Lunch Pal for a Pinellas County elementary school and Boys and Girls Club volunteer.
I am a 42% white, 36% blue, 20% yellow and 2% red foodie that doesn’t care for fried foods, and has a strong aversion to milk and bananas (whether served together or individually). I enjoy learning new things, reading, watching TV and being of service to others.
I am rich in ideas and my PPNs are Legacy and True Health. It is here, in Florida that I’ll build my legacy, starting with constructing a residential, multi-unit shipping container home.
Currently I’m working to rediscover my love for travel after a seven year self imposed travel ban.

Tarsha – nice to meet you. That’s awesome that you just picked up and left Maryland. I’ll be leaving NJ in September, headed for Florida, too.
Great to know you better Tarsha. I love that your legacy of constructing a residential, multi-unit shipping container home.
Sounds like you have found some of your happy place. Love having you in my tribe.
So great to get to know you better – especially thru the Color Code system. We are almost neck and neck on our percentages. While feeling that peaceful feeling of how you shared your story.
Tarsha, the MKE is so very fortunate to have you onboard! 🙂
Great getting to know you better Tarsha! I’m glad you’re not dealing with blizzards any more!
