Detroit Business Owner Interviewed by Channel 7
Detroit, Michigan — September 30, 2024 — The cottage feel of the home on Marquette Drive with its stone and brick façade, facing the imposing, historical Water Works park and facility belied the charm and beauty of the patio outside.
We settled into cozy couches and sipped on a green tea concoction that was delicious. Dana Green, a new business owner in the Marina District of Detroit, Michigan is part of a revitalization of the eastside of the city. She has just returned from the Symmetry National Conference in Denver, Colorado where she was recognized as the company’s newest agency
owner.
The day is warm with a slight breeze and since we are so close to the Detroit River, the sky is a brilliant blue with wispy clouds. Ms. Green is stylish and composed with a demeanor that indicates she loves to get to know people. She is wearing tailored tan chinos with a short sleeved red sweater and black suede loafers.
When asked about what drew her to the life insurance industry, Ms. Green shared “I like the overall generosity of the business. Life insurance is a completely selfless act. Basically my clients are all saying ‘I love you’ in a very tangible way to someone meaningful to them. It’s a truly beautiful experience.”
And why Detroit?
“Detroit is full of scrappy people who want to progress, generation to generation. I provide support for that idea at an affordable price and a sense of dignity. It is a win for everyone.”
