Master Key 11:18

We are first to believe that our desire has already been fulfilled, its accomplishment will then follow. This is a concise direction for making use of the creative power of thought by impressing on the Universal subjective mind, the particular thing which we desire as an already existing fact.

Master Key 11:35

‘Whatsoever things ye desire, when we pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them’; notice that there is no limitation, ‘Whatsoever things’ is very definite and implies that the only limitation which is placed upon us is our ability to think, to be equal to the occasion, to rise to the emergency, to remember that Faith is not a shadow, but a substance, ‘the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’

Having been raised to work hard and believe and you’ll be rewarded. Just work hard and believe and you’ll be rewarded. Keep working work hard and believe and you’ll be rewarded as long as you don’t do anything wrong.

If you do wrong, instilling fear in you, then some type of unwanted thing will happen to you. This is no way to live.

Having participated in religious circles for much of my life, the repeated words of ‘your being tested’, rang in my ears for longer than I care to admit.

Yet, Faith, as it is defined here is a breath of fresh air and oxygen for the soul! Truly reading Faith as ‘the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’ is surreal (yes I looked up the word!).

Understanding that this is a natural law, not religious law, brings greater hope and belief while erasing doubt or concern of falling short because of a ‘test’.

A knowing sets in. It brings a beaming smile, a song in my heart, and a hope for those who are also learning and understanding this law. For me it is renewed strength, confidence and belief in me! #djsjoy

  • Bravo! I love how to the point you were. Those old ways really never moved anyone forward. I am happy to hear they will be left in the past.

  • DJ, that’s exactly how I was raised. Work, hard, work hard and work hard and/or also get a college degree and you’ll be all set! Yes, it is a breath of fresh air to be set free !!

  • Thanks for sharing this inspirational blog. Reading how your attitude towards faith and hard work shifted from negative to positive warmed my heart. You’re right, faith is a breath of fresh air and oxygen for the soul.

  • It’s wonderful to read about your shift in perspective from the traditional narrative of hard work and fear-based consequences to embracing faith as the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Recognizing faith as a natural law rather than a religious one seems to have brought you a sense of renewed strength, confidence, and belief. This shift is indeed liberating, allowing for a more positive and hopeful outlook without the burden of constant testing and fear. May your journey with this newfound understanding continue to bring joy and optimism to your life.

  • Love it. You are a good writer. Not everyone has your ability to translate the words in their head to the paper that way.

  • Yes, yes! You have expressed so well what many of us were raised to feel and think… thank you for also putting the paragraphs and expounding on them!

  • Great Post. I was moved by your exploration of the word and true meaning of Faith. Sometimes Religion gets in the way of Natural Laws…until you realize the difference through awareness.

  • Very good. I like this. I actually sent the Master Key 11:35 to my kids and to my team this week.

  • Stunning, Debra. Those were my most favorite quotes from Week 11. So appreciate your take and brings a beaming smile and a song to my heart…Thank you.

  • What an awesome perspective. Yes, a breathe of fresh air is needed in this world. Thank you for your powerful insights.

  • Oh yes, that faith is a tricky thing after all that conditioning. Good for you Debra! Keep that song in your heart!
