From Need…Comes a Seed

The story of how a Need morphs into the Seed of Solution for one family with special needs.

SARASOTA, FLORIDA (October 26, 2023)—In a recent interview of Sarasota, FL mom and entrepreneur, Geri B. Haynes, by New York Fox News personality, Chet Van Jansen, we learn the story of unanticipated success.

Geri and her husband, Rod, are parents of 24-year-old, Ariana, an exceptional young woman, diagnosed on the Autistic spectrum. Her parents guided her through the educational system, where she graduated from high school, but they realized that she might never be adept at managing her life without a significant support system.

“I knew I needed to amass significant financial resources, and a great Trustee, to provide stewardship, for my daughter’s future.” said Geri Haynes, GRH Ventures, LLC, Managing Partner. She set her mind on building a financial legacy.

Geri and Rod pursued traditional employment and investments avenues that provided a comfortable lifestyle for the family but not nearly what was needed to finance their daughter’s needs for 40, 50 or 60 years after they passed on. Both Geri & Rod were open to multiple income streams, and they dabbled in referral marketing, but never saw long-term success.

In late 2020, Geri stumbled into a company that piqued her interest, and began learning how to make it a success. During her tenure, she was introduced to a mentoring program lead by industry trainers, Mark & the Fabulous Davene Januszewski, at Training Solutions, LLC.

The hero of the story turns out to be the Master Key Experience course in providing a vehicle to “encourage” the development of long-term goals.

Now back to the story, Geri had never thought about a task more than to develop a financial legacy, but through the MKE curriculum, she stumbled upon a more significant goal, that met her primary financial needs, along with providing a stand-alone solution to her daughter’s future.

Geri has created an amazing assisted-living solution, right in her neighborhood, for her special needs daughter, and other exceptional residents. She has created a community that provides aggregate living, with resident participation in cooking, cleaning, gardening, the community’s library, educational programs in hobbies, medical, life, and financial skills.

The facility’s staff monitors medical, psychological & emotional well-being, as well. The goal is to equip residents with the skills that enable them to move on to independent living if they choose. The model, as it evolves, is being duplicated to create a network of residences to support exceptional populations.

Another piece of Geri’s amazing plan involves the production of Geri B’s GLUTEN FREE Biscotti. Right down the street from the resident facility, Geri has acquired a former restaurant building that she has re-purposed into a gluten-free commercial kitchen and retail bakery, Geri B’s GLUTEN FREE Bakery & Café.

Residents and other exceptional teens and adults will learn baking and production, marketing, computer, packaging, shipping, and retail skills. The profits from the sales produced through the Bakery & Café will support the operations of the assisted-living residence.
