This is Tommy Tellit All, broadcasting live from Hawaii for Episode 67 of “Who is This Person?”

I had the opportunity to meet Ava Sims or as she likes to call herself, Courageous Ava. This is one feisty senior. What caught my eye was her laughter and energy.

I assumed she was with a companion but never quite saw her with anyone in particular. She was with everyone in the group. When I learned she was here 4,500 miles away, alone, and thoroughly enjoying it, I just had to find out more. She has a story to tell and it’s worth hearing.

Courageous Ava, in your own words tell us how you transformed yourself into a butterfly.

Thanks, Bob, for the kind introduction. Being here in Hawaii is a dream come true. I’ve been trying to get here for the past 15 years and I’m finally here! What took so long? I took so long.

Starting and stopping, being fearful, not believing in myself, being confused, and being inconsistent, held me back for years. Mainly, not believing in myself.

Knowing what I wanted was never a problem for me. Having the courage and self-confidence to go after what I wanted was the challenge.

Now I go after what I want without hesitation! One day I got serious about my life and made some life-altering decisions.

I decided to take a chance on myself. I decided to believe in myself. I decided that what I didn’t know I’d simply learn.

I never could put my finger on exactly who the people were that told me I wasn’t good enough or capable enough. Whoever they were, I forgive them because they didn’t know any better.

I decided that I’m capable of doing anything I decide to do. I decided to fight back for my life. I decided to take my subconscious seriously and then started programing myself for success. The inner voices causing the confusion and self-sabotage disappeared once I stopped entertaining them.

Then I put action with my decisions. My subconscious now has the programming that I want it to have. I’m taking actions with confidence. I introduced myself to social media and told everyone I knew that I’m a Mortgage Loan Officer.

I started looking for those that were looking for me. I began looking forward to attending real estate events such as open houses and conferences. I began consistently networking and prospecting, which turned into many opportunities to help others with their mortgage financing needs.

Because I decided to get out and meet people, I now consistently close 10-15 loans each month regardless of interest rates. People are still buying houses and I’m financing their mortgages.

I am now living in my own home with plenty of room for my books and plants. Sounds like a little accomplishment if you’ve never lived with anyone but trust me it’s a huge thing and I’m super proud of myself for making it happen.

I’m prospering and know that I will not have to depend on my children to take care of me financially. This one thing (money) took away so much stress. I plan to retire from the mortgage world in a few years. My retirement income has already been taken care of.

Courageous Ava Is living her best life. I gave myself permission to be happy. I did not delay my happiness waiting on someone to accompany me on my dream vacation.

Me, Myself, and I are more than enough to enjoy my vacation. So here I am, in Hawaii on a 10-day, three-island, Perillo tour because I can definitely afford it. I have a team that takes care of my loans while I’m away. I’m vacationing in Hawaii because I know that I deserve to relax and enjoy myself.

I’ve founded an organization that mentors people looking for a way out of the rat race created by their own minds. I’m telling everyone I know about our subconscious programming and how to reset it.

All of this happened because I believed in myself and took the appropriate action to prove it. It didn’t happen overnight, but it did happen. My only regret is that I didn’t have this awakening decades ago.

However, I’m blessed today and looking forward to tomorrow. You’re not too old and it’s not too late.

Yes, this caterpillar has become a beautiful butterfly! Thanks for taking an interest in me, Bob. I will have more to share in the upcoming years. Look me up!
