Graham- “Thank you everyone for tuning in. On Tonight’s show we are honored to spend some time talking with this year’s recipient of the Women in Business award. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Amy Shirtcliff to the show. “
Amy walks out from behind the curtain and greets gram with a hug and a kiss on each cheek.
Amy- “ Thank you so much for having me. I love your show and was so excited to get the call that you wanted me on. It is such an honor to share this couch with so many amazing people.”
Amy- “ Oh by the way, Tardis blue is your color! It really brings out your eyes. “
Graham -” Why thank you. I love that you are American, and you call it Tardis blue! Hahah”
Amy – “I will let you in on a little secret Graham, I have a rather healthy admiration for all things British, hahah”
Graham- ” I am super excited to get the chance to interview you because you have a rather relatable and very inspiring story that I can’t wait to have you share with the audience and viewers.
For most of your life you lived pretty mediocre and normal until if I read this correctly, took it upon yourself to change your life and really discover your greatness.”
Amy-‘ While my journey has been going on for a while, I am going to start really where it truly began. A former co-worker of mine told me about this Health and Nutrition business that he had and that he was looking to expand.
He asked if I knew anyone that might be interested. I learned a bit about what it was and decided that this was a company and products that I could get behind so decided to open my own Unfranchise business.
During this time, I met some great people in the business. My upline was hugely successful and did a great job steering me in the right direction of growth and confidence which is where I ended up hearing and learning about Mark J.
My upline, the great Gary Rogers told me about T&GR and we made a decision as a group to try to get on and complete the course. I jumped in but only about 60% so didn’t end up finishing the course. I grew as a person but not to where I could be.
So when I got the email that there was another course MKE coming up and if I wanted it I could have a scholarship, I knew that If I did this again, I had to go all in. So that’s what I did. I did the work, created amazing new habits and really transformed my life by putting myself out there much more than I ever have before.
I used to struggle with fear of judgement and was always worried about if someone was going to think I was weird or odd. This course taught me to not worry about what others think and to just jump in and be myself.
Recognize and be present in my every day and really dive into what kind of mark I wanted to make on this world before I leave it. I am not done at all and you can bet I am going to have much more done before I go but I can honestly say that if today was my last day on earth, I would be happy with what I have accomplished. My biggest goal was to help others.
This company allows me to do just that with not only products but the business. Being able to help so many people get out of the 40-year plan is what has really made my soul proud.”
Graham “So what would you say is the best part of this life you have created?”
Amy- One of the greatest things is that all of this, what little time I truly put into this has allowed me to find time to be creative myself and share this side of me with others as well as allowed me to free up so much time for traveling.
My favorite trip was when as a family we went for a month-long trip down the west coast. We were able to not only visit some of the amazing places like the amazing Redwood forests of California to the ocean sides of Oregon to the amazing cities in between.
Getting to hit up some of the conventions that being an east coaster we do not usually have access to normally was amazing. What sealed it all was when we went to Star Wars Celebration and got to spend time meeting so many of the amazing cast and crew from the movies.
The looks on my family’s faces were priceless. This was just one of many memories that I now have of amazing trips that I have taken with my family.
Graham- So you are also known for sharing small trinkets with people. Where did that come from?
Amy- I am a creative crafty type of person. I wanted to be able to express that as much as I could because making things with my hands is a calming thing for me. I used to keep things to myself but decided to make it a goal to try to gift them to someone in my life.
It started out small like that, but I found that there were places that I could help as well. From creating hats for the homeless and children’s hospital to bookmarks for library patrons. Word got out and it turned into even a group of us doing crafty type things for different places.
Graham -How did this all happen for you?
Amy- Well Graham, I set goals and good habits. I celebrated when I finished a task even if it was the smallest task. I asked lots of questions to the people that I met and offered knowledge or pathways for them to succeed in what they wanted.
At first things started off small but soon it was just cascading into this amazing team of like minded people all helping each other create better lives. Finding their purpose and celebrating it.
Graham- What would you say is the one secret to growing your business?
Amy- There are so many little things that we can do but if you were to ask me what would be the think I would say really set things apart, it would be support. Having a MMA has changed things for me for sure.
Getting together a group of like minded people all with goals to not only help encourage each other but support and assist as needed to help not only grow your business but yourself as a person. Oh and having good habits also helped, hahah.
Graham- You have created an amazing life and are living it to the fullest. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me tonight and sharing your experiences.
Amy- Thank you very much for having me. I love your show and am humbled and honored to be a part of it.
Tardis and Star Wars? and crafting with our hands… oh, Amy…we are kindred souls… Thank you for sharing your spirit with us!
