Significance Is A State Of Mind
Diane Sawyer, Primetime News Magazine April 10th, 2026
The elegant recording studio owned by Ed Mylett is just minutes from this iconic motivational speaker’s home on Casco Bay Island. I had the privilege to be flown on Ed’s private jet to the island along with Top Network Marketer, Donna Stelter.
Ed greets us with open arms, and we are both overwhelmed by the massive hug he gives to us as we meet in his immaculate garden overlooking the ocean. The air smells of salt and jasmine as the three of us walk through the massive mahogany doors that lead us to the famous studio where Ed has interviewed some of the world’s greatest legends and change makers.
Donna is shy but poised, dressed in her distinguished, orange print Chanel pants suit. She is organically comfortable in the presence of Ed, like nothing in life phases this attractive, fit 56 year old woman.
They have developed a close relationship as Ed has been her personal life coach for the last year, elevating her to the prestigious platform on which she now creates her dream life. The connection is apparent, Donna has trusted Ed with her struggles and now embraces the celebrations of life fully.
So how does a woman who worked in Pediatric Oncology in the urban city of Milwaukee end up in Ed Mylett’s recording studio? Grit and determination, for starters.
Adopted when she was four months old from an orphanage, she was always moving and always loud. Donna shares stories which her mom repeats over and over again. “I was the girl who never wanted to come in the house when the streetlights came on, and I never really wanted to follow the rules.”
Ed speaks about how when Donna was young, the people in her life attempted to dim her light as she endured extreme bullying all throughout high school.
Donna honestly explained she has learned through extensive self-reflection and creative mind analysis her life is a testament to those who doubted her, “watch this haters”.
Through grit and determination, Donna who could not swim and carried a fear of water for most of her adult life, pushed her body and mindset beyond what many would never attempt to do, completing an Ironman Triathlon. Donna and Ed spoke about the necessity of using daily visualization, having a perfect plan and taking action regardless of the critics in the mind or in the crowd around you.
Donna and Ed spoke of the Network Marketing Professional and how success comes in this industry with the same qualities which Donna used to across that finish line years ago.
Ed dug deep into how resilient she was and tears welled up in her eyes. How scary it must have been to walk into a room and build relationships with parents whose children are dying to shifting into a business mindset.
Ed tapped into the deepest part of Donna’s soul, her faith and connection to God. The millions of followers on social media, the Diamond Ambassador Rank in her business she attributes to one main practice, prayer and the art of allowing. Donna shared how if we cling too tightly, our prayers and dreams will not manifest because they lack trust in God. Ed sat shaking his head, in agreement, as Donna spoke.
Donna came from a middle-class family like Ed, they share this bond, parents who talked about wealthy people as if money was a bad thing. These two hearts sitting in this room with the highest technology money can buy, for them it’s not about the things, but the people they can impact, serve, help grow into the best possible version of themselves. Blues eyes sparkling, hearts open to lead others.
Freedom to choose our destiny isn’t only for some, it’s for everyone; especially these two as they continue to work together to impact and uplift millions of people around the world, regular ordinary people.
My biggest take away from sitting and taking in this incredible interview, love wins. If you care for others, life rewards you 100-fold.

Hi Donna, Your description of the smell of sea salt air mixed with a hint of Jasmine was so vivid for me that I could experience it through your writing. Thank you for sharing you0r press release
“My biggest take away from sitting and taking in this incredible interview, love wins. If you care for others, life rewards you 100-fold.” That’s quite a take-a-way, Donna! May I borrow it?! 🙂
