Press Release by Jesus Christ

Pamela Otten was playing her keyboard in her front room this morning, and I sat in her favorite velvet wing chair next to the keyboard as usual, waiting for her to notice me. She quickly did, and she also noticed the celebratory smile on my face, so she said, “What’s up?”

I announced to her, “Congratulations! I am here today to give you an award! You have won a 2023 Bringing the Kingdom Award!”

Then I said, “We need a press announcement for the Heavenly Press, so I’m going to interview you right now! All of heaven is going to rejoice with you!” The look on Pamela’s face was priceless – she was very surprised and a bit in shock.

I said, “Let’s start with this – tell us a bit about yourself.” She shot me a look that said, seriously – you already know everything. I just laughed and motioned for her to continue.

Pamela said what is most important to her, summed up in a picture on her bedroom wall where she sees it every day, so she doesn’t forget. “I am a daughter of the King, who is not moved by the world. My God is with me, and goes before me. I do not fear, because I am his.”

I responded, “You are correct in all of this. Your lack of fear has made you bold in bringing the Kingdom of God to earth. Tell us about the church you pastor.”

Pamela nodded and said, “Renew Church is now located in a renovated old building in downtown Sheboygan. Our vision is to Find the Forgotten, Heal the Hurting, and Send the Saved.

“We find the ones who are in desperate need of God. We encourage them, and pray for them for all types of healing – emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial. We equip them to do the same, and we send them out to bring the Kingdom of God wherever they go.”

I asked her, “Where do you find people in desperate need of God?” Pamela’s face glowed, and she said, “We find them everywhere. I believe. You bring them to us as opportunities to serve them.

“We find them in the Farmer’s Market, when we have our prayer booth there. We find them in our partnership with Sheboygan’s low-income housing buildings. We find them when we have Healing Rooms of Sheboygan at Renew, where people can come for private personal prayer.

“We find them in our Bible study and worship, our prayer meetings, our church hangout areas, and our free community meals. We find them in the grocery store, and at our workplace. They are everywhere we are.”

I then added, “You are unique because you actually believe my words recorded in the Bible

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:12

You believe it, you do it, and you teach others to do it too. This is why you are receiving this award. You bring the Kingdom everywhere you go, and people know it and recognize it. You are just getting started with everything you are called to do. It’s time to celebrate!”

After Pamela joyfully wiped her tears, she said,

I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

To God be the glory. I gratefully accept this award on behalf of all those who are faithful to bring the Kingdom of God everywhere they go.
