Haanel’s first sentence makes you pause. For those I have been “a beast of burden”, to think that this is true, simple and direct instruction on creating my world is fascinating and awe inspiring.
To know that everyone has this power if they focus on their big dream in service to others without taking away anyone else’s good, is a dream that really can come true!
When we realize these facts concerning mind we understand how we may bring ourselves any condition by creating the corresponding conditions in our consciousness, because everything which is held for any length of time in the consciousness, eventually becomes impressed upon the subconscious and thus becomes a pattern which the creative energy will wave into the life and environment of the individual.

I chose to look up the origin of the word power. I found reference from the latin word potere, which means “to be able”. Then I wrote the excerpt with this meaning:
The Real Secret “To Be Able” is Consciousness “To Be Able”.
I paused and recalled when and how power showed up. Remembering the focus and intention that I had. Then I paused to recall when I didn’t have it. What was I focused on and what was my intention?
Large ideas have a tendency to eliminate all smaller ideas so that it is well to hold ideas large enough to counteract and destroy all small or undesirable tendencies. This will remove innumerable petty and annoying obstacles from your path. You also become conscious of a larger world of thought, thereby increasing your mental capacity as well as placing yourself in position to accomplish something of value.

And I paused again. Yes! They were BHAGS; Big Hairy Audacious Goals! I knew I would accomplish them.
So as I wrap this up, it is with the intention of making sure my Definite Major Purpose is a BHAG. That I pursue the Real Secret “To Be Able” with Consciousness “To Be Able”.
