This week I decided to make cards with each of the statements I carried over from each of OG Mandino’s “The Greatest Salesman in the Word” scrolls we have finished reading so far.
I make an oath to myself, that nothing retards my new life’s growth. Scroll I
I greet this day with love, and I succeed. Scroll II
The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. Scroll III
I strain my potential until it cries for mercyOG Mandino Scroll IV
The Greatest Salesman in the World, Og Mandino
I put one statement per card, made one of each for each of my “flashing” piles, added color shapes, and put them in the piles at the top, right under “what would the person I intend to become do next” and “what am I pretending not to know.”
I am a self-directed thinker! I picked those statements from the different scrolls as statements that motivate and inspire me. Why only read them 3 times per day? Why not shuffle them in and flash them with the rest of the flashing cards?
Was I waiting for someone to tell me to make those cards and put them in the piles? Maybe 16-17 weeks ago I would have been waiting for someone to tell me, but I am a self-directed thinker now, and loving it!
Great idea! I like the way you thought this through and appreciate your sharing!
Love it Pedro, no more waiting for someone. You are a self-directed thinker now, and loving it! Awesome
That’s awesome Pedro! Creating index cards of each of the statements you chose from each scroll and adding them to your “flashing” piles is a great idea! I actually did that for Scroll IV before I added the other statements I chose from the other scrolls, and placed them in my “flashing piles” too.
