“Find your unique gift and give them away.”
My life since retirement has been clean house and work in the yard, office, and other duties. My left over time was watch T.V. with hubby and once in a while eat lunch with friends. Very rarely did I plan a walk or lunch with friends, My calendar or list of chores kept me busy. I was afraid to call friends and share our direct marketing business thinking negative thoughts.
With this course my life was filled with reading and writing on the computer, which had to be done late at night to find time. The MKE staff made me realize I had Choices!! Now I realized I can do what I want to do and I have energy. I love reading the MKE material and writing the gratitudes each day.
Now I create new opportunities to be kind to other people. I ask the neighbor to walk around the neighborhood. We stop and meet the neighbors. I pick spring flowers to give to people who do a service for me, cook new recipes to share food with others, and volunteer at church. Now I speed through chores and use the “Do It Now” motto.
” No opinions” has really changed my husband’s and my life. We used to think people did not interact with us because of a negative reason that we made up in our minds. We should have listened to what they said and communicated better. We are still a work in progress. We are chipping the concrete off the Buddha little by little. The MKE experience has been an educational experience since your responded to our asking for help. I still have a long way to go on this “Hero’s Journey” but I’m learning tp persist and enjoy the stops and the road less traveled along the way to my destination.
Many thanks to all of you for caring and cheering us on!
