“Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts.”
True strength lies in mastering the art of commanding our actions to steer our thoughts, not the other way around. Og Mandino’s timeless wisdom in scroll V1 strikes a chord with me, serving as a touching reminder of the dynamic role actions play in shaping our mindset.
It’s a wake-up call to consciously steer my actions towards positivity, even amidst the turmoil of negative thoughts. I know that surrendering to the urges of my thoughts, particularly the negative ones, is a mark of frailty. If I allow them to dictate my course would only jeopardize my personal growth.
I am aware that, real strength lies in forging ahead despite the resistance my thoughts may pose. II see the light it’s through persistence that I showcase an unwavering resolve in line with my aspirations and principles, thus fostering a more constructive and empowered mentality.
In essence this strength lies in resilience, the ability to fend off the temptation of negativity and self-doubt that may plague my thoughts. Rather than yielding, it encourages me to soldier on, taking affirmative steps .forward to enrich my mental landscape. What a profound strategy for cultivating resilience and nurturing a positive, empowered mindset.
“enrich my mental landscape”. Love that phrase, Chrislyn! Thank you! I soldier on beside you. 🙂
