MKE Blog Week 23 – Our Deepest Fear

In preparation for Week 23 of MKE, Mark played a clip from the movie “Coach Carter” in which one of the students recited a verse regarding “Our Deepest Fear.” I had not seen the movie. But did a little research, and discovered that the verse was an excerpt from the book “A Return to Love”, written by Marianne Williamson in 1992.

This scene struck a chord with me. Simply said, it states that our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.

All of my life, all I wanted to do was fit in. I was playing small, and as it turns out, it did not serve me well, and probably short-changed those around me as well, because I did not give them my best. I still do not know what my best is yet, but I cannot look back because I cannot change the past. All I can do is to give my best today, and let my light shine. Who knows how far those ripples will go?

Meet Michael Bordyn

I’ve always loved the outdoors and exploring. Growing up in Florida, I earned a degree in forestry from the University of Florida, and worked in that profession for 15 years. Subsequent forays in sales and customer service drew me into a desire to help others. My wife, Millie and I have been married for 21 years, and spent several years living in western North Carolina, and upstate New York. A brief visit to South America inspired us to move to Ecuador, where we have been living in a completely different environment for the last year and a half.
Still exploring…….
