I play this game with the world’s greatest salesman. We are to drop the word “will” when we read our scroll for the last two weeks of the month. I decided to change all the verbs to present tense and see what happened. I know how I can be. Here’s an example:

Make each day happy and productive. Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions, strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts.


If I feel depressed I will sing
If I feel sad, I will laugh
If I feel ill, I will double my labor
If I fear, I will plunge ahead
If I feel inferior, I will wear new garments
If I feel uncertain, I will I will raise my voice
If I feel poverty, I will think of wealth to come
If I feel incompetent, I will remember past successes


Instead:
When I feel depressed I sing
When I feel sad, I laugh
When I feel ill, I double my labor
When I feel fear, plunge ahead
WhenI feel inferior, I wear new garments
When I feel uncertain, I raise my voice
When I feel poverty, I think of wealth to come
When I feel incompetent, I remember past success
