The Creation story tells us the sequence of events, in a day-by-day plan to form and populate the Universe. Our science teaches us that the Universe began with The Big Bang Theory.
Specifically, that from the void, there came an enormous surge of power that created all matter & energy. The calculations of the enormity of that event we are documenting through the images from the USA’s Hubble Telescope.
Since there appears to be a single point of origin, we are exploring the history of the Big Bang Event as we are able to see further into the center of the Universe. The theory is that from that powerful inception point, all matter began expanding out into the void at extraordinary speed.
Given my faith in God, I love this theory, because it is easy for me to envision God initiating the creation by a single thought (and, maybe the snap of his powerful fingers!).
Genesis 1:3 And God commanded, “Let there be light – and light appeared.”
The Creation story goes on to describe the separation of light and darkness (day 1); the creation of a dome (the Sky) to separate water into two separate places (day 2); the separation of the water from the land, and the creation of bountiful plants to grow on the land (day 3); the creation of the stars & moon to light the Night, and the Sun to light the day (day 4); the creation of fish and animals to teem in the Sea, and birds to fill the Sky (day 5); the creation of animal life, domestic and wild, large and small
Then God said, “And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild, large and small. So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, blessed them, and said, “Have many children so that your descendants shall live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds and all the wild animals. I have provided all kinds of grain and all kinds of fruit for you to eat; but for all the wild animals and the birds I have provided grass and leafy plants for food – and it was done. God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased.” (day 6) Genesis 1:26-31
As we have discussed in past Master Key Experience Parts, our world has been created predicated on abundance in plants and animals. We live in a world teeming with life and blessed with abundance.
Being raised in the Judeo-Christian doctrine, specifically, as a Roman Catholic, I was taught that our bodies were created, and that God breathed life into us with the Spirit.
Holy Bible, Good News Translation:
Then the Lord God took some soil from the ground and formed a man out of it; he breathed life-giving breath into his nostrils and the man began to live. Genesis 2:7
Haanel’s Part 23 provides an inverted perspective to me, which has rocked my world.
Spirit, whatever else it may or may not be, must be considered as the Essence of Consciousness, the Substance of Mind, the reality underlying Thought. And as all ideas are phases of the activity of Consciousness, Mind or Thought, it follows that in Spirit, and in it alone, is to be found the ultimate Fact, the Real Thing, or Idea. Haanel, Master Key System, 23:12
During this week, my perspective of being a body endowed with a Spirit has flip-flopped. I now see that we are Spirit, First! made in the image and likeness of God. We are Spirit, first, foremost, and eternally.
I was taught that our Spirit will vacate my body at death, but this perspective gains me new respect for other cultural teachings such as past lives or reincarnation. I am not secure in my understanding of the Universe to presume to know how complex the spiritual realms are, but I now think that I truly don’t know, what I don’t know.
What I do know, is that I am, first and foremost, Spirit. I’d like to think that my here and now, is the most evolved that I’ve ever been, and that I am tasked with the continuation of my Spiritual journey. If every human is a Spirit, evolving with every day, we have our work cut out for us.
I’m not sure how the planes of consciousness works…I’ve believed that we get our eternal reward in the next life. What I’m learning is that we can evolve in this life, and we can move into higher level of existence; and we can anticipate a greater understanding of our potential, and a greater manifestation of the Universe, if we are willing to do the work!
I like the way you thought this through and came to the conclusion of how we evolve in this life and continue…It was a very interesting read! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and how you have analyzed your beliefs.
