I used to believe that knowledge is power…
Now I know that it is in the application of knowledge where the real power is!
Knowledge is potential power and only when applied the magic starts. It is kind of pointless to know what to do without doing anything. It is like having a motor vehicle with a full tank of fuel just standing there, not moving at all! One can almost say it has no value.
But then once you start the engine and the vehicle takes you places, it has a lot of value. I have found that the same goes for the knowledge in my head. It has no value until I start putting it to practice.
Mainly through writing, I started catching on doing my blog posts and it is like magic. Putting my thoughts, experiences and lessons I’ve learnt on paper just makes everything better. It gives me perspective. It takes the circling thoughts out of my mind. It releases me from being stuck. It clarifies a lot of things.
This must be one of the many reasons why the blog entry is a requirement for the Master Key Experience. I guess Mark J and the rest of the awesome team has really thought of everything when they put the MKE together.
I find that there is a lot of resistance to change, especially if it is change for the better. It is not just my old blueprint objecting to being replaced with a newer better version, but almost as if everything else is pushing back saying “Hold on! Where do you think you’re going?”
Well, the answer is simple: I’m moving forward and I am excited about the journey.
So the advice to myself is the following:
- Keep learning and keep applying what I’m learning.
- Keep moving forward, even it is a baby step at a time.
- Don’t be too hard on myself, as I am work in progress and as they say Rome wasn’t built in a day.
- Do my best and keep improving.
- Good, better, best, never let it rest, until the good is better and the better best!
Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough!
In my mother tongue: Uithou! Aanhou! Bekhou!
Loosely translated as keep on keeping on!
Great analogy Gerhard. I love the advice you give to yourself. 👌
I love your comparison of the car to the application of thought, Gerhard. A tremendous share. Thanks so much!!
