I have had a beautiful reoccurring thought this week brought about, I think from the Haanel readings and the fun I have had with it and listening and engaging with my Polo Tribe Resolute.
“Constructive imagination means mental labor, by some considered to be the hardest kind of labor, but, if so, it yields the greatest returns, for all the great things in life have come to men and women who had the capacity to think, to imagine, and to make their dreams come true.’’
The Master Key System, Charles Haanel, Week 8, Section 15
My mother showed me the way, but I did not understand what I did not understand and as a result of this weeks reading and MKE I have had a ha-ha moment.
It was not one of the moments where you or I think I have been here before. It is one of those moments that something makes sense and I salute you mother because you were the captain of industry in the house you built and lived in.
There were many smaller projects and you were the project manager as well. Why do I think this, because for many years when friends, family or strangers entered they all marveled at the design and layout. There was a request to open the house out so others in the area who were building would come in and look around for ideas and inspiration. The design (inside and outside) was created in mums mind.
Over the years mum worked in different houses, lived in different houses, traveled to different places and had many experiences. All of this combined helped mum imagined what she wanted, she was able to provide a clear image to the architect, describing what she wanted and where, enabling him to draw the plans. Mums eye for detail, color, fabric, texture; knowing what she wanted, where, why and how.
This is what I now understand and recognize, mum created a mental image and brought it from the invisible into the visible. I can do the same. I can be what I will to be.
In the past I have been lazy and not joined the dots and or looking beyond what I see. I have accepted much and not been prepared to question or look below the surface. Yes, the ha ha moments are taking on a new reality and appearance. The insignificant is becoming significant, the uninteresting interesting.
I am looking to this day
. . .For it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course lie all the verities and realities of your existence; The bliss of growth; The glory of action; The splendor of achievement; . . . For yesterday is but a dream, And tomorrow is only a vision: And Today well-lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day! . ..
Look to This Day – Kalidasa
I am thinking about my 86,400 and make today well lived and look beyond what you can see.
I am humbled joining the dots which I never considered in the past.
What an amazing ah-ha moment! Thank you so much for sharing!
