Og Mandino’s Scroll Marked I is really shining through this month. Replacing old, not so good habits, that I have been struggling with my whole life, with new, positive, healthy habits is at the forefront of my daily thinking.
Doing the daily mental exercises and readings has become a good and enjoyable habit for me. If you told me this last month, when there was something new added week after week, I would not have believed it!
This week’s theme of imagination and visualization started out being a challenge for me. I always told myself that I did not have a great imagination. Now, I know that with a little work, I can change that.
Charles Haanel’s reverse construction of the battleship was right up my alley. I have read a few of the other’s blogs where they said that they could not relate, so they picked a different one.
I built helicopters for 40 years, so I was very comfortable with the battleship scenario and really enjoyed it. I have a feeling that this exercise will be leading all of us to another exercise that will be much closer to “home.” Mark keeps telling us that there is a reason for everything that they do!
I have had two restarts with the 7 Day Mental Diet. It’s ok. I know that it is a process and the knowledge that not dwelling on whatever it is, is the key!
When we were told to shut off the TV for a whole week, I was surprised, pleasantly surprised. The reason being was that I had already done that 2 weeks before! The only thing that I have watched in 3 weeks was “Coach Carter” and “Akeelah and the Bee.” It’s time to cancel the Cable!
I am getting much better at looking for and finding my shapes and colors. I think that creating my Dream Board had a lot to do with that for me. I put a copy on my bathroom mirror along with my “Guy in the Glass”, one on my phone screensaver, one in my car and one on the TV screen!
I begin this day with love in my heart!
