I wanted to share this week something that is worth celebrating on changing my perception.
Awhile back I revised my Definite Major Purpose (DMP) to include appreciation for my job. I like my job and the company I work for and wanted to give back more than I was receiving.
I have always tended to do more at everything I do. In regard to my job I started appreciating it more and appreciating the company more. The company actually has in its golden rules to treat others as they wanted to be treated.
The company also is one of the few remaining American companies I know of that really value their employees. The company is always winning awards for best place to work, most diversified and list goes on and on.
Also, I decided to do more by helping people whenever I can. Like I said I always tend to do that, but just step it up since revising my DMP. I was attempting to give more service without expectation of reciprocity in one way that was right in front of me.
In summary, I started showing more gratitude and doing more without expectation of getting more. That is the change in my perception of something right in front of me,
Here is where the celebration shows up. My company just handed out massive pay increases to us. Some of us our pay grade was bumped up to allow us to receive an additional annual bonus of 10%; this on top of already very generous existing bonus plans.
Wow! How about that?
Master Keyers have a great week!
Michael of the Uplifters!
Hey Michael! It’s great to hear about your company and the way you’re changing your thinking. I like how you’ve shown others that giving can result in receiving more.
That is awesome! Give more get more is real!
Michael, what a beautiful story of how by giving more, you get more. Thank you so very much for sharing this inspirational incident of this basic truth!
