The common thread this week is thought. Not that this is the first time that it has been mentioned in the MKE Workshop. Actually, it has been talked about since Week 1!

The Master Key System, written by Charles F Haanel, the message from the American Author Og Mandino, research by Shawn Achor, and dissertations by Ralph Waldo Emerson, to just name a few, all speak to the power that each of us has inside us, the power of thought and being able to change our current thought by changing our current habits, through daily practice and persistence.

We all have the power to choose what goes into our subby (our subconscious mind)!

In addition to thought we revisited kindness and gratitude. Many of us were taught that if we got this or that, if we acquired or bought that new car or this new house, achieve this goal or that goal, that all these things would make us happy.

The truth is that it does not work that way. Once we choose to be in a constant state of service, gratitude and kindness then that is what will bring us happiness! Gratitude equals more gratitude, kindness equals more kindness, service equals more kindness, more gratitude and more happiness.

We need to be happy FIRST. Isn’t that what everyone wants? Top be happy? Happy first – the stuff is just stuff!

Og Mandino tells us that all my problems, discouragements and heartaches, in truth are great opportunities in disguise.

I am so excited to have these opportunities, especially with what I have learned so far, and also what is coming in the next 2 months!

There are five things that are the backbone to being “happy first”.

The first is Gratitude – look for it every day. The more you see the more you will find.

Kindness – either random or not. If you are kind, look for kindness, share kindness – every day, then you will spread kindness to everyone that you encounter – it IS contagious.

Exercise – get out and move a little bit. Every day – relive a nice moment from the day before.

And meditate – learn how to control your physical body and you will master how to control your mind and your thought.

All these suggestions are great but if you don’t learn the secret of HOW to bring them all together then they are just words on a piece of paper. It is a process that builds on and links to what I started learning over 18 weeks ago in the Master Key Experience Workshop.
