5 Reflections from Week 18 in the Master Key Experience:
1. What would the person I intend to become do next? I am appreciating asking myself this question more than once in a day. If I know that I CAME HERE TO DO SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT…To feel alive…To feel TREASURED, now what? The intrigue is intoxicating and each time I ask that question, I very much enjoy the answer.
2. Building self-directed thinkers is the objective – “Instead of being a discontent critic, I’m creating an environment to help others help themselves become self-directed thinkers then find and follow their bliss.” Mark J
3. TEDX – THE HAPPINESS ADVANTAGE – The Magic of PLAY – Shawn Achor. When this TEDTalk came out 12 years ago, I listened over and over. The shift in me was momentous. I had not been taken seriously for my happy way of being most of my life.
To now see the beauty of happiness as AN ADVANTAGE? Wait what?!!! WOWOW! Listening to this TedTalk this past Sunday after a good 10 years was refreshing and reminded me of the power of the Happiness Advantage. Change the lens, change your reality. Let’s Create a Happiness Revolution. I’M IN!
4. The toughest sale in the world? … Is a prospect who doesn’t believe. The greatest salesman is one who is sold on themselves. Am I walking around with 100% conviction? Me selling me. That is an ever adventure work in progress.
5. Obituaries – “Many People Die at Twenty-Five and Aren’t Buried Until They Are Seventy-Five” (a quote attributed to Benjamin Franklin). This week we are switching The Greatest Salesman in the World scrolls from “I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle,” to “I will live each day as if it is my last.” Making each day a masterpiece. Last week we started by reading 1 obituary each day. This week we continue and add the answer to 3 questions:
1. What would that person give to change places with me and have 1 more day?
2. Who can I let know how grateful I am for their presence today if it is my last?
3. How will I behave today to finish the masterpiece of my life elegantly?
I’ll leave you with the question of this moment: What am I pretending not to know?
What is your answer today, Awesome One?
