“Attention has been held to be the distinguishing mark of genius. The cultivation of attention depends upon practice. The incentive of attention is interest; the greater the interest, the greater the attention; the greater the attention, the greater the interest, action, and reaction. Begin by paying attention; before long you will have aroused interest; this interest will attract more attention, and this attention will produce more interest, and so on. This practice will enable you to cultivate the power of attention.”
-Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, Part 18
The sleeping giant or sleeping genius within your brain is awakened and brought to life through the cultivation of the power of attention.
One of the books I read a while ago said our purpose in life is that one thing we could read hundreds and hundreds of books about and never get bored or lose interest.
When we are interested in something we increase our attention and this in turns increases our interest and this yin/yang process leads us to living our inspired destiny.
You can achieve more in one to two years than most people achieve in a lifetime through the power of attention.
You have untapped levels of creative genius within you now infinitely greater than you could ever imagine.
What interests you enough that you could read about it for years and never get bored and cultivate the power of your attention to live a life of purpose?
Stay tuned for my next blog post from the MKE (Master Key Experience class) to discover how you can be happy now and significantly improve your life in every way possible.
I am extremely passionate about the subconscious mind but also really interested in leadership and coaching.
I always gravitate back to that as an intense focus and passion and I believe Charles Haanel was right.
My attention keeps increasing my interest and then increasing my attention more.
Thank you so much Day for helping me with my DMP and everything you do!!
I love your focus on “focus”, David. Curious what YOUR interest is that keeps you intensely reading. For me, it’s the study of my spiritual path.
