“Meditation brings wisdom, lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”

In a society where information overload is prevalent, taking the time to quiet the mind becomes essential. Amidst my hustle and bustle, taking the time to meditate has offered a profound journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.

When I started my 15-30 minutes sits, I couldn’t sit still, having an itch or needing to move a body part. Now the act of sitting still in silence has become a holistic practice that cultivates a deep connection between my mind, body, and spirit; a gateway to self-awareness and a profound understanding of the world around me.

Before I would pray to God to give me wisdom. Now I know it has been here all along. I needed to still my body to really listen and receive the messages. I have gained a deeper understanding of my thoughts, emotions, and the interconnectedness of all things.

I have been able to discern what will propel me forward and what will hinder my progress toward my definite major purpose in life. I’ve even been given a pivot to fulfill which is allowing me to let go of a part of my life that isn’t serving me. This self-awareness has become a compass, guiding me towards choices that align with my truest self.

I’m still finding that I will fall asleep at times and I’m giving my body the rest it needs. At times the messages I receive coming out of sleep have been the most profound and ones that I write down immediately or I’m not able to recall them. Some of my messages have not made sense so I write them down then I google words that have come to my mind.

If I find no answers, then I have asked people that I feel propelled to ask about it and at times I have gotten answers. I call these mixed-up graces. I think sometimes we are to connect and communicate with others and they have the information we are seeking.

In conclusion, choose the path that leads to wisdom, one that is illuminated by the transformative power of meditation. By embracing this ancient practice, one can unlock the doors to self-discovery, break free from the chains of ignorance, and embark on a journey towards a life infused with profound wisdom to fulfill their purpose.
