I’m so happy you had an amazing time with your family over the holidays.💕

I’m sorry the new year started with a few challenges.

A few years ago I was talking to a friend about my struggles with school, difficult dormmates, and my Mom dying from cancer. I was overwhelmed and depressed. He said, “Deanna, what’s the best way to sink a ship?” I had no idea. He said, “The best way to sink a ship is to fill it up with water. If you don’t let the ship fill up with water, it won’t sink.”

Another time my employment class went to the beach and we each collected 5 rocks. We each wrote on each rock something that was a burden we didn’t want to carry around anymore. Then we released the rocks, one by one, into the ocean. Maybe this exercise might help deal with things that bother you at work. You could make it even more fun by skipping the rocks across the water.

I’m so glad your tribe are so supportive of you. And I know when you go to Kansas City you’ll have a great time talking to them in person!
