Imagine for a moment explaining your Definite Major Purpose to a seven year old. Really imagine. There are no big words, flowery words, corporate speak, slang or acronyms included if you want a seven year old to understand your life’s purpose.

Ego must be set aside, along with complex thoughts and grand achievements so that this seven year old child can understand what you are talking about. Great! What are you talking about?

Somewhere along the line you were sold a story that if your purpose didn’t sound or look a certain way it wasn’t big or important enough to speak of. That with your advance college degrees you should speak and sound a certain “educated” way.

Wow! Truth time. Take a breath, and tell this seven year old about your Definite Major Purpose in a manner that “they get it”. Why do I say “Truth Time”? Because the seven year old in me wants to know as well. No big fancy words. Just basic seven year old language that tells me “I’m Possible”, “I’ve Got This”, “Let’s Do This”.

What I think, do, and feel, is “an indication of what I am”. What I think, do, and feel, controls my destiny. Articulating my Definite Major Purpose is part of my destiny. It’s important I get it right for my seven year old self. “I’ve Got This”!
