Rudy is a spectacular film of the demonstration of the hero’s journey. Rudy had the burning desire to play for Notre Dame and every waking hour of every second he lived and breathed it. He didn’t know how it was going to happen, but he just knew it would and he was willing to do whatever it takes.
Along the way he was surrounded by people including his own family who never believed it would ever be possible they shot him down every opportunity they got and still he persisted to succeed!
After losing his best friend in a tragic accident that is when Rudy got the call, and he began the Hero’s journey. There were moments that even he wanted to give up, but he formulated a mastermind group in his teammates, and they rallied around his success!
One by one they stood up for him and demanded that he dress for the final game of the season, and the coach had no choice but to put him in! His thoughts attracted the right people and situations, and he manifested his dream!!
It’s didn’t happen without a mastermind and a few friends who believed in him along the way. That is the way it is though; the universal mind will be at work and people will not understand why they want to help you but they just have this desire to do it.
You create that with the law of attraction which is governed by the Universal mind and ultimately God is in control of it all!
I watched this film a long time ago but let me tell you things just popped out at me throughout the film that never did before, his desire is my desire although different, his persistence is mine, his every ache from being absolutely slaughtered during practice and getting up 100 times I felt that!!
But his burning desire drove him just as I have gotten up so many times! I was incredibly moved when his dream came to fruition and not only that, but I also felt my own dream as if it happened too, I envisioned myself in that reality I can feel it I could hear it I could see it all so clear!
Highly recommend this powerful story of persistence and following your burning desire and embarking on your very own hero’s journey.
Wow, that must feel exhilarating to envision yourself in that reality Shannon. I am so happy for you.
“people will not understand why they want to help you but they just have this desire to do it.” Powerful insight, Shannon. When we are right within and persisting on our path, we exude something that will draw to us those we need to help us .
