This week, I was encouraged to watch the movie, “Rudy.”

The film revolves around the life of Rudy Ruettiger, a young man from a working-class family in Joliet, Illinois, whose lifelong dream is to play football for the University of Notre Dame. Rudy faces obstacles, his short stature, and his grades. He refuses to give up on his dream, even after being told many times to give up and that he will never make it.

The movie captures his struggles, sacrifices, and the support he receives from unexpected sources along the way. His journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that with enough determination, one can overcome challenges.

“Rudy” highlights the importance of friendship and support in achieving one’s goals. Rudy’s friends and family play crucial roles in his journey, offering encouragement and standing by him when the going gets tough.
