I found the meditation for week 14 to be the hardest one thus far!
Meditate on “harmony?” What you talking about Willis? What does that even mean?
So I took so I did what any rational thinking woman in her 60s would do: I asked Google! Mr. Google had a lot of ideas. Apparently I am not the only one who doesn’t know really what harmony means, or at least how to visualize it.
The following are my thoughts and what I have done this week
First, I decided to embrace the idea of becoming one with everything around me, to the best of my ability, of course! I thought about making peace with the situations that come my way and just going with the flow.
Now, here’s the deal: life can throw us curveballs, and sometimes it’s a struggle to adapt. We find ourselves battling against the circumstances that surround us, and that’s when resistance sneaks in.
That’s where “my friend John” steps in with some wise advice. He said, “Steph, concentrate deeply!” You see, we’re often wired to react negatively in a snap instead of simply letting things be as they are.
So, here’s what I did: I channeled my inner observer. Pictured a cozy armchair where I watched the world go by. And then, I stepped back and just observed the visions love it just like I would observe my thoughts and mindfulness meditation.
I just noticed them and let them petered out to the end just like I would thoughts. With that I allowed them.
Harmony for me then was not fighting it, just being apart while the same time watching and not reacting. It’s a cool new way to meditate that’s for sure.
Google that you know Joanie is my battle cry. This great blog is so interesting I agree.
Mahalo for the levity Loren. And I can tell you from experience Mr. Google is blind.
You my friend are a genius and so do I think are you Stephanie’s amazing observation and Mahalo for an enlightening share I very much appreciate.
What I want to know, Stephanie, did Mr. Google have goo, goo, googily eyes? LOL 🙂
Hi Stephanie, Interesting post. I love that you asked Mr Google and he gave you some good insights. Keep growing.
