Week 9 reflection. While I can honestly say the slight hesitation is still there, it is much easier to just do it now. Especially when it comes to things that I often was scared to do because I was worried about what people might think or worried about rejection.

Being in network marketing, that has been my biggest thing: fear of rejection. It has been told to me in the past that every no is one step closer to a yes. I knew this, even told myself this occasionally, but now it’s not even a thought.

I know the “truth” and will either get a yes or a no. There is no worry about it. I remember each day that if it’s a no, it’s not me, it’s them.

I can see in Week 9 not only how MKE and Hannel have helped me, but have started to really understand a lot of the other books that I have read in the past like T&GR, the 4 Agreements and even Atomic Habits, with Day’s talk a few weeks ago about each day just being 1% better than the day before.

I am really loving this course for really showing us the way to use all these books and knowledge that has been out there and putting it into real life actions.

This week not only did I give out 2 samples to try to get new customers (my service is to just give one a week) by just asking for help but have come to also the realization today as I did my sit and imagined a flower growing from seed to bloom, that I am the flower.

What we are doing in the MKE is to create the foundation or roots and place ourselves in the sunlight so that we can grow and bloom into the most beautiful of flowers. I am so EXCITED to see all the beautiful, amazing and unique flowers we are all starting to grow into.

Meet Amy Shirtcliff

I'm Amy Shirtcliff. I am married to my best friend, a mom of 3 girls, 1 boy, 1 dog and 2 cats. I am from CT, born and raised. I love all things creative (crochet, sewing, baking, gardening to name a few, and I am a pretty big nerd (love Comic Cons, LOTR, Marvel, Star Wars). Would love to connect about similarities and interests.

  • The description in your last paragraph of placing ourself is the sunlight so we can grow is a beautiful picture

  • Amy, the photo you chose for your blog post is perfect! I see your flowering achievements standing out–and all the others waving in appreciation of your being in the midst of them. 🙂 Thanks also for the insight that MKE gives us a light of understanding to shine back on books/writings we’ve encountered in the past…seeing now with a new and deeply valuable perspective.

  • We are the flowers. I love it! Thank you, Amy. I know they’ve mentioned we are tilling the ground and whatever we plant will grow. Us planting us is a different perspective. Beautiful!
