MKE Week 9 – Forming New Habits

It’s hard to believe it’s been 9 weeks already, but I’ve been noticing such big improvements. The seven-day mental diet is by far the hardest part but also the most rewarding. It’s teaching me to be more aware of my thoughts and reactions.

Procrastination has been dramatically reduced with the “Do it Now “phrase. It’s so amazing because that little phrase has also popped up in my head when I want to move onto something else without finishing the current project. Which I then finish before moving on.

Especially with the other phrase of “I always keep my promises,” I just pause when the task is completed and enjoy the moment of victory. It’s such an amazing feeling.

My Definite Major Purpose is just needing some minor improvements and really has helped me to start planning and imagining what I want my future to be.

The sit has been mind blowing. I still have days where it’s hard to be still for very long but it’s getting easier. Clearing my thoughts and concentrating on just certain thoughts while sitting has been challenging but very rewarding.

Thinking about my future self has been helping me to become a friend instead of a stranger. It has also given me more clarity to my definite major purpose and what I want my future to be. Having the end in mind is peaceful and reassuring to me.

The Law of Giving and Receiving has been such a blessing. Daily reading has started to form into a habit which I love.

At first, I was unsure about the part of giving without expectation of reciprocity, mostly because most of the world is taught that we should be rewarded when we do something for someone… which is totally wrong and goes against the golden rule of: Treat others as you would like to be treated.

  • Hey Mark,

I can’t believe it’s already Week 9! Your journey is truly inspiring, and I can see the positive transformations shining through your words.

The way you’ve embraced the seven-day mental diet is commendable. Your commitment to “Do it Now” has not only slashed procrastination but also become a guiding principle for maintaining focus and completing tasks. It’s a small phrase with a massive impact, just like your deliberate and detail-conscious approach.

“I always keep my promises” – what a powerful mantra! Your pause to relish the victorious moments shows your nurturing and caring nature, creating a ripple effect of positivity. Your blog radiates sincerity and thoughtfulness, making it a joy to read.

Your reflections on the sit are relatable. The struggle to be still, coupled with the rewarding challenge of concentrating on specific thoughts, reflects your analytical and quality-oriented mindset. It’s impressive how you’re turning challenges into stepping stones.

Your commitment to imagining your future self is truly intimate. Becoming a friend instead of a stranger to yourself speaks volumes about your compassionate and respectful character. Your clarity on the definite major purpose, coupled with the peaceful end-in-mind perspective, is reassuring.

And kudos on embracing the Law of Giving and Receiving. Your daily reading habit is a testament to your dependable and reliable nature. The willingness to give without expecting reciprocation aligns perfectly with your loyalty and intuitive understanding of the golden rule.

Your positive journey is uplifting, and I look forward to more insights. Keep thriving, Mark!

    Best,
    Michael
