This week I found a few things in the reading of Haanel that stood out. First I was intrigued with the continued exploration of power. I will come back to that because I was also struck by a couple other things.

One is that it is about destiny not fate or fortune. Meaning that once we understand the law of causation, one can no longer say or believe that it is your fate for this or that to be a certain way. The same with Fortune it is not left to luck or whims.

Armed with this knowledge which is power. If all human experiences and conditions are effects that have a cause which can be controlled, then it stands that we are the masters of our own Destinies not the wind or some other external force.

Another thing that I found interesting was how we use words to describe both sides or ends or extremes of the same thing. They are two parts of the whole. Regarding extremes, for example good and evil and the like, one finds that there is vitality or life if you will in one part and the other part has none.

This is the same in the physical, mental, moral, and spiritual worlds. Mind is the only operative principle in all these worlds.

This brings me back to power. The mind is said to be static or at rest and needs the power of thought from the individual in order to act upon the Universal Mind and move it into motion.

Man needs fuel in the form of food to think and interact with the Universal Mind. Power in various degrees and forms is in all things. I find this to be true if energy is thought and thought is power.

Mental power is superior to the power in nature as it exist on a higher plane and can harness the forces and power of nature to use for progress and good of mankind.

This certainly can be seen in all the advances that have been made since the writing of The Master Key. Yet we know that Spiritual Power exist at an even higher vibration as the omnipresent energy and supply is the power from which all form comes into existence.
