minutes remaining

In the spring, I took a course with Mark and I fell behind, I was late getting in my DMP, so was only able to get it critiqued once. After that everything felt like it didn’t make much sense to finish. I limped to the end.

So, when the opportunity for the fall arrived, I thought to myself, if I am going to proceed, I don’t want to be stressed about it.

On Sunday, when you pointed out not to get stressed, relax, and just work at, I heard it and felt that I could start. More importantly, I felt I could finish. Without the intensity that I had put on myself in the spring.

So far, I have made sure to get things done. It has been taking longer than I have given time for, but I have still worked through it. Asked for help, received help (technical stuff) and feel better about actually being able to change my bad habits to good ones. Thank you MKE for that.

I have been checking myself when the perfectionist wants to take over, and know I’ll learn as I go. This helps motivate me. Usually, I start, make things too big a deal which does not enhance my life, or anyone around me. Not the goal this time.

I have notified people in my life of the time I need to spend on things, and there has been no resistance. This too, is gratefully new.

My favorite thing for the exercises is the 15 minute sit. I use the time to remind myself that I can do this, calmly, intelligently, and gratefully. It also helps with prioritizing time in the day to get things done.

I thought that I would set up a schedule to do the exercises, but right now, as I am travelling, I am scheduling them to get done.

I feel for now, getting it done is good.

When I get home, I’ll make a more consistent schedule, to complete the prescribed exercises.

What a great affirmation statement to repeat to yourself often.
