Third time’s a charm or Three strikes and you’re out.
This is the third time for me and the MKE. My first brush with Mark J and what was the MKMMA was in 2014. I had been a student of his for several years with Go90Grow. I had no idea what I was in for. I buckled down and did the work and OOOOH EEEEM GEEEE…things began to happen.
I had just started a real estate career in June of that year and did not know what I did not know. It didn’t take long and things began to manifest in my life. I made it into January of 2015 and I got so busy with my real estate that I couldn’t keep up. I feel behind with the MKMMA and faded away.
My first full year in real estate I hit #2 single agent in an office of 132. That was mostly due to the MKMMA and of course hard work. I set some very lofty goals and hit them all.
I rode that wave all the way through 2016 when I decided to return and finish what I had started. Here is the lesson and if you get nothing else get this. I did not mentally commit to change.
I started the course with excitement and high expectations but my mind kept saying “yeah, yeah I know that already.” That was my old blueprint talking and it was cocky because that was the blueprint that took me to be a top producer in the entire market. It didn’t take long and that old blueprint took me out of the game.
It has been a few years and real estate has been good. Really good. I am in the top 1% of agents nationwide and making a very good living.
I am back and I have a new attitude. I am playing full in and believe the saying and title of a great book “what got you here won’t get you there.” I know I need a new blueprint to take me to the next level in real estate.
I have my eyes on the end game and I’m not sure what it looks like yet. I don’t like the word “retirement” because I do not believe I will every retire. I love helping people and it will just change how it looks. I have started reading the books and instead of saying “I already know that” I tell myself “I have heard that before but I need to know more. What else is there?”
Honestly opening up these books and reading from the beginning is like visiting an old friend and it feels very good to be back. I know what is capable when I do the work. I love the first line in Part 1 of the Master Key System, it rings so true:
“That much gathers more is true on every plane of existence…”
Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, Part 1
It hit me square between the eyes, gave me a hug and said “welcome back!” I love this stuff!
There is so much opportunity in front of me and I know the MKE is exactly what I need to mentally prepare for what God has in store for me.
The count is full, the bases are loaded, and I am expecting a fast ball high and inside. This time is the charm. I’m not settling for mediocrity. I’m hitting it out of the park!!!
