I read all the way through the instructions of the 7-day Mental diet. It seems to me that all the words I need are there. The focus of doing the mental work is what is ahead of me. When I was reading the last part, I had to pause and laugh.
It says “Do not tell anyone else that you are on the diet, or that you intend to go on it.” I find this part difficult because I thought employing everyone to help me would make this EASY. As I thought of the reason behind it, I can see that the work falls squarely on my thoughts and controlling how I deal with everyday life.
As I read through the article that describes in detail all I need to do, the best part was there and I had to read it twice. “Your heart will whisper the truth,” meaning whether some thought was positive or negative.
I am ready because of the commitment I made to myself before I started this course this year. I am ready and look forward to this adventure. I am going to follow the wonderful instructions we got from the webinar and in this article by EMMET FOX. Each morning as I wake will start my day with “I greet this day with Love in my HEART.”
I Always Keep My Promises
Robert G Rea
Robert, I thought this mental diet was going to be easy because I consider myself a very positive person. I’m now glad that we’ve been working on all the exercises that we have, because until now, I had no idea how many negative thoughts were coming in that I didn’t notice until now. Now I’m paying attention, since I made a promise, and I keep all my promises. I’m keeping the watchman at the gate well fed, well rested, and he’s alert!
Thanks for the great blog!
Just love your positivity and clarity, Robert. Thanks for sharing with our Master Mind the quotes and what they meant to you. I enjoy seeing things through your eyes.
“I can see that the work falls squarely on my thoughts and controlling how I deal with everyday life.” I find that an excellent insight. I’m driving that in deep. I’ve known it but seeing it again reminds me. Thank you.
Great comments Robert. I’ll have to read the Fox article myself. I like your grinding picture; kind of implies that watching for negative thoughts is a grind!
Yes, Robert, trying to get others to help when we can’t even control our own thoughts, well, there’s part of the challenge. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this!
