Easy does it. That was a slogan on the wall at every AA meeting. Give time time was another. In the beginning I thought they were silly much like the cards and the shapes in the beginning. Then I began to realize that there is something to this.
Haanel says “Individual development like universal development must be gradual with an ever-increasing capacity in volume.” Kind of the long version of those two slogans.
I had a major breakthrough on my DMP after sitting with the question for a few days. I truly believe I uncovered the thing that has been holding me back. More on that in another blog. For now, I want to share that although this awareness is a major point it is going to take time to make the change and see results.
But I want it now! Much like the 30-year coin. I wanted one so bad but I needed to do the right things one day at a time for 30 years to get one. Sometimes you just can’t have it now. Give Time Time. Progress not perfection.
It’s the same with the awareness that I got about the thing that has been holding me back. Just being aware is not going to make it change. As much as I want to it won’t change tomorrow.
I can do the next right thing today and then do it again tomorrow and in time it will change and I will be in “the sunlight of wealth, position and happiness far beyond my most extravagant dreams.”
One step at a time.
Easy does it.
Give time time.
