Week 17 HJ
This week I have been reflecting on a number of things that revolve around the Hero’s Journey. First, the Herald, looking at the definition it is a sign from a person or thing that something important is about to change. So, in this instance, it seems that the Herald is the thing calling one out to this important necessary change. In other words, it is the call to transformation.
I was also struck by Davene’s description of this rebirth after the death of the old blueprint, whereby one would end up transparent to the transcendent self. I see this as being possible to be actualized as your highest self, thereby being able to live from the place of love peace and harmony. All needs met, living happily, no worries, everything just is as you desire it to be. That would probably be called A State of Bliss.
I liked the way that Mark J equated the stages of grief to the refusal of the call. The many ways excuses people have to refuse the call. Knowing what you know there are no reasons to refuse the call there are only excuses. It does require persistent effort
.
I like how OG says, “within in me burns a flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and its heat is a constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am… I will fan this flame of dissatisfaction and proclaim my uniqueness to the world.”
I also love where he talks about being here for a purpose which is to be a mountain. Much like Haanel talks about spiritual truths and how one is stimulated around great natural objects and great people. Like Lincoln was said to have the effect of being a mountain to people.
So, the purpose is to accept the call Let your light shine brightly and let your uniqueness grow bigger than a mountain as you extend and enhance the miracle of your birth.
