MKE Week 17HJ – Greatest Salesperson Sold Bad Product

This week the question was asked of us, “How can each of us become the Greatest Salesman in the World?”.

The fact of the matter is, each of us already are and most definitely were. Where we are now depends on what we sold ourselves years ago. We sold ourselves on something. We have been using the Laws all our lives and didn’t know it.

Some of us sold ourselves bad product. As has been said, we are our own worst enemies…our own worst critiques. Some of us beat ourselves up harder and worse than others. Lived in negative thinking that the Law of Growth worked with.

As Earl Nightingale tells us,

“If you think in negative terms, you will get negative results.”

Earl Nightingale

Haanel part 5 reads,

“If these impressions have been of fear, of worry, of care, of anxiety, if they have been despondent, negative, doubtful, then the texture of the material which we are weaving today will be of the same negative material.”

The Master Key System, Part 5

Haanel part 12 reads,

“Of course, worry, fear, and all negative thoughts produce a crop after their kind.”

The Master Key System, Part 12

Some of us have to do more digging in this journey. Digging ourselves out of a mental and emotional hole we find ourselves in. Is it tough work? You betcha.

But I KNOW we can succeed because I KNOW we succeeded in the past. We were the greatest salesperson to ourselves and sold ourselves lies and bullshit.

We CAN sell to ourselves extremely well. We KNOW we can because we DID it before.

Back to the hole some of us find ourselves in…sadly enough, a person can’t dig themselves out of a hole. But that makes me think of a story about a farmer and a donkey…

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.

At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.

Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Huh…that sounds a lot like the Law of Substitution. We can’t dig ourselves out but we can provide new dirt and free ourselves.

There is no doubt in my mind that I can re-program my subconscious because, although the world may have put some programs in there without my knowledge and without my permission, I know I am a raging success and am absolutely the greatest salesperson in the world….who sold myself wrong. My hole is deeper than some of yours. Some of you may have a deeper hole than me.

That’s ok. We let go of the past sales. We develop that watchman at the gates and we are vigilant.

We persist. We each continue to be the greatest salesperson in the world to ourselves, changing the wares we sell—selling ourselves love, positivity, harmony, confidence, courage—the good stuff!

One day at a time. One step at a time. One breath at a time.
