When I was growing up, Concentration, was a game show on TV. There was a tableau of cards, face down, and the object of the game was to get as many matched pairs as possible before the opponent.

Hugh Downs was the host of the show, and they even created a board game, which I played with a neighborhood friend. The skill set was being able to remember placements that were revealed during play. It was all about paying attention to the information revealed.

Concentration is misunderstood; there seems to be an idea of effort or activity associated with it, when just the contrary is necessary…you should be so interested in your thought, so engrossed in your subject, as to be conscious of nothing else.

Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, Part 17:6

As I have been concentrating during Week 17, I was focused on my business goal as I will be rewarded with its accomplishment. A revisit to Part 17 today, led me to evaluate and think about the steps necessary to create success and accomplishment.

I thought about the real-life mechanics of creating the structure I need, to manifest my goal. I have known the steps, but today I ran through the list of people, and necessary steps for me to engage with each, and every team member.

I began thinking about the people involved and their particular circumstances, and how I can support their long-term goals. I realized that I need to create more communications opportunities with my team, many of whom are great customers.

Subconscious desire arouses the latent faculties of the mind, and difficult problems seem to solve themselves.

If you concentrate on some matter of importance, the intuitive power will be set in operation, and help will come in the nature of information which will lead to success.

Visualizing my reward was a great start, but exploring the mechanics of being a leader is the key to accomplishing my goal. In a recent conversation with one friend/team member, she indicated a potential need for more income.

So now I know that if I am more proactive in my communications with my team, I may uncover more opportunities to move members from the customer perspective to income earners.

Learning a more effective way to concentrate on my goal, changes my perspective, and enables me to make steps toward accomplishment that provide greater benefits to my team, as well as success for me. Thank you MKE!!
