Last night I did something that caused me so much anxiety but it was something I knew I needed to do: I created my first polo! I shared a couple of quotes with my friend as my trial run. It was terrifying but I was so relieved when it was done.

Today I chose to share quotes with my friend and my guide. I was still very nervous and wasn’t comfortable showing my face yet so I just showed the cards I wrote quotes on.

When it was time for me to make my polo for my tribe, my cement Buddha encased me with so much fear and anxiety that I kept getting up, walked around the house, and did some readings before sitting down and repeating the whole process for hours. I practiced what I would say and which quote I would share, but it was a struggle.

I kept telling Subby, “These are your friends They’re not strangers! You’ve enjoyed what each one has shared with the tribe for months. You can do it! Do it now!”

I kept reading the quote I chose to share from Nelson Mandela.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

The more I read Nelson Mandela’s words the more I knew I had to do it. To be part of a Mastermind Alliance, I had to participate. As Davene always says, “Give more, get more.”

I finally broke the cement Buddha and made my polo video. Once I was done, I told Subby, “You did it! Woo hoo!” I celebrated with hot chocolate and a couple of chocolate treats.

Not too long after I posted my first polo for my tribe, my tribe responded with an outpouring of love and kindness towards me. Several of my tribe had also chosen courage for this week’s virtue.

One member of my tribe battleshipped how I used courage to make and post my polo. I never thought of it that way before! It felt great to be a participating member of my tribe!

Will I share another polo with my tribe? Yes. I know it’ll get easier with each polo I create and share.
