I am a professional multitasker. I can do up to 5 or six things at the same time. I have learned over the years, multitasking is not being productive.
I know how my mind works, easily distracted, my to do list gets longer and longer, I’ll be working on one thing, something else pops in my head and I’ll stop what I am doing and do that other thing and repeat!! I catch myself and go back to the first thing I was doing.
It’s complete insanity. My mind never relaxes, I always have to do something while doing something. For example, going to the bathroom, being on my phone watching or listening to something, washing dishes, listening to a podcast or listening to a show on Netflix, cooking, same thing, writing my blogs, listening to music or podcast.
My attention is not on the thing I am doing. Everything I do, I’m doing something else at the same time. Why? I have yet to understand that part of me… right now, I got a notification from the Dodo, I love animals. In the past, I would stop what I’m doing to watch it, then come back to my blog. I’m choosing not to do that.
One of the lessons this week with the Master Key Experience was attention. In my morning read with Haanel, he writes,
“…it is however, through attention that you will finally be able to overcome obstacles of any kind that appear in your path onward and upward, and the only way to acquire this wonderful power is by practice – practice makes perfect, in this as in anything else.” Charles Haanel, Master Key System
Practice is what I did this week. I focused on the one thing I was doing, when something popped in my mind, I didn’t let it interrupt what I was doing. If my phone rang and I was busy, I let it go.
I turned off notifications on my phone, as they are a distraction. I am practicing doing one thing at a time. I look forward to my progress.
I am grateful where I am at in my life, moving forward and adding more positive changes to support me in being a better, efficient and wiser with my time and efforts.

Control your mind and you control everything, Mimo! 🙂
Yes! Perfect practice makes perfect. We are all probably addicted to the peptide high that comes from putting attention on multiple things at once. As we get more depth of awareness in self we sink into our Beingness allowing our subby to recruit all of the resources of Universal Intelligence to support our goals. Way to go; you’re doing it.
Great awareness, Mimo. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations! That is a huge step. I too used to be a good multitasker. 😉
That’s fabulous Mimo. To do all that takes discipline and you are crushing it. Well done!
So excited to see what’s going to happen in your world…
Wow, Mimo, I can really identify with this one! Good for you, you have taken positive steps to improve your focus! Good things are happening, with more good to follow:)
