5 Reflections from Week 16 in the Master Key Experience:
Bonus: New (to me) Word (s)
1. Golden Orbed thoughts – What would it look like to live life from the lens of Golden Orbed thoughts?
“A man might frame and let loose a star, to roll in its orbit, and yet not have done so memorable a thing before God as he who lets a golden-orbed thought to roll through the generations of time.”
H. W. Beecher
2. Who is the Herald? – We did not get an answer to this question, however, we did receive 2 hints: 1. Our index cards that we’ve been making the past weeks make the Herald’s voice really clear. 2. The story of the 2 wolves:
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
3. I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle – Success has a pattern. Build an indelible pattern by doing the things you’ve promised to do. Be the Architect of Greatness. Be the Dreamer and weave the magical tapestries by having and holding the vision.
4. Check your fears at the door – ALL YOUR FEARS HAVE NO LIFE IN THEM – UNLESS WE GIVE THEM EXISTENCE AND WE REHEARSE IT. They vanish quickly if we focus on their opposite – courage, kindness. The seeds are already within you
5. Kindness Blog – The Franklin Make-over goes to another level in week 2. The whole Master Key 2023 World is taking on the virtue of KINDNESS. There’s a blog and we’re looking for 2000+ comments and stories of kindness. How cool this week we are all working together to spread kindness everywhere. Be kindness around the clock.
BONUS NEW (to me) WORD:
1. Periodicity – “periodic character, tendency to recur at regular intervals of time,” 1805, from French périodicité (1796), from périodique, from Late Latin periodicus “that returns at stated times”
2. Septiminal Law – There is a spiritual law called Septimanal Law or the Spiritual Law of Sevens which breaks down our 98-year life into a different phase of maturity for every 7 years of that life.
What are YOUR Golden Orbed thoughts, Awesome One?
What a difference a day makes! 🙂
I am honored. Thank you, Robert.
Indeed, Michael. I love imagining my thoughts rolling through the generations of time.
Wow that was awesome! Felt like I was reading from Hannel! very well written and captured the essence of MKE lessons!
Hi Marie, thanks for sharing. The story of the two wolfs is one of my favorites. It brings memories of my longtime sponsor. I like the thought of Golden Orbed thoughts
Great blog Marie. Love this: Check your fears at the door – ALL YOUR FEARS HAVE NO LIFE IN THEM – UNLESS WE GIVE THEM EXISTENCE AND WE REHEARSE IT.
I DO remember that scene, Loren! Sooo good.
Reminds me of “Ground Hog Day,” Marie, Dana, Arlene, and FD. Remember Bill Murray walking outside his hotel and that person reminding him just before taking his next step, “Watch out for that puddle. It’s a doozy!” LOL 🙂
Thank you, Arlene. Feeling the co-creation.
As you know, Davene, I’ve had my challenges knowing where I, as a White, fit in. You have been an inspiration in that journey. So grateful for you.
I totally agree! Gonna figure out a way to weave “doozy” into more conversations this week :)!
Have not heard doozy in a long time – good word to bring back
You ignite the white in me – I love this reading this great information. Especially the part about fear not having no life its so true.
Wow, Dana. Thank you. I am honored. Week 16 IS indeed a doozy! Thank you everyone who comes here to play…
I look forward to your 5 things each week. Week 16 is a doozy . . .
Wow, Maria – so many wonderful nuggets of wisdom here, thank you!
