It’s been a tough week here with our first major snow storm and then torrential rain a couple days later.
The snow was the heavy, wet kind that makes clean up a back breaking experience. I was able to get it cleaned up, but it did take quite a while and it took a toll on my already broken back.
The rain was very heavy and intense but it did wash away almost a foot of snow so there was a silver lining to that storm. I anticipated water in my basement and was fortunate to not have an issue there.
Of course all this extra activity was pulling me away from things that I needed to do in other areas of my life and trying to stay focused on those things was difficult. I just kept telling myself that everything would work out the way it was supposed to so just keep going.
Stay the course. I did, and everything worked out as it should, just with an extended timeline.
Charlie
Hi Charlie, I know exactly what you mean because as we just learned we live 10 minutes away from each other! LOL. My battery operated snow blower did not like to work in the heavy snow so I shoveled all the sidewalks around my property and got quite the work out! The good news as of today its less than 60 days till Spring! Yeah!
We didn’t get snow but had some weather and other factors that apparently made our week like yours. I can very much relate to “pulling me away from things that I needed to do in other areas of my life and trying to stay focused on those things was difficult”. Kudos to you, Charlie, for staying the course and everything working out. I wonder if unbeknownst to you, you were ahead of the “permission” curve and did give yourself permission to simply be in the flow. And it all worked out.
Charlie, good on you! If you wanted to feel defeated… you’d have already had a desire for it. Scroll 2 says: “The prizes in life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal.”
Isn’t it amazing how we are loved and given gifts every day. Those crazy situations and the resolutions falling into place. Thank you for sharing your experience, Charlie!!
I’ll keep going!!! Thank you Charlie!!
I love your wording of “the extended timeline,” Charlie. Thanks for the staying-the-course inspiration. And I hope your Spring comes fast. 🙂
Cannot enjoy the sunshine if you do not appreciate the rain. Whether you on top or knocked down and on a rise to success it is only a season and all part of the cycle. Great share and here’s to an impactful 2024 and beyond.
Charlie, I’ve been blessed in Virginia and not had a tough winter like you. But agree the “Stay the course” is the best thing you can do.
Yes, Marie – Charlie is an inspiration!
I love your persistence!
I persist until I succeed! Me you and Charlie LOL
Great job Charlie – set an appt with Mark!
Thanks Arlene!
Thanks Candy. I appreciate you.
Thanks Mark. I appreciate your comment and as always your insight.

Charlie!!! Way to stay the course. You have chosen to stay determined and that is showing through.
Way to go – persistence wins!
The amazing the power of staying the course. Thank you for your insights.
