Change Happens in the Little Things
This week I am in Florida for our second annual vacation. I am here with my boyfriend. We are having a good time, we have been laughing a lot and exploring different places.
However, it is not without some frustration. This frustration comes from our mix communication styles. And, that happens in small ways. Nothing real big that is worth breaking up for, however big enough that I am feeling twisted.
So, reading my DMP and focusing on shapes is helping me concentrate on positive rather than replay the conversation in my head over and over again. I am a master at playing out conversations repeatedly.
So, I am training my brain to do that in a positive future manner, instead of replaying what already happened.
Doing this is helping me raise my vibrations and feel more positive energy, rather than stay stuck in frustration. It is also helping me speak into what I want instead of ruminate over what I don’t have.
I feel that I am a fairly positive person, however it is the small ways I am seeing how negative thought takes over.
I was able to speak into what I want over a disagreement we had, so instead of pointing out “his flaws”, I was able to speak about how I see things, what values were important, and how we could both get what we desire by working together instead of against one another.
The result was a deeper conversation and creating plans for how we will spend the next few days that are in alignment with our desires. I am excited for what is to come.
