The holidays can be an odd time of year! Specifically, the ones in December and the one on Jan 1st. There is obviously tons of excitement and pleasure in the exchange of gifts and traditions but for some, it is also a time of anxiety, depression and fear.

For me, I feel a little indifferent this year. I think I definitely enjoyed Christmas more as a child. I am definitely not alone in that thought, I am sure! A never ending stream of toys and gifts coming my way. All the cookies and baking going on, the house full of those scrumptious aromas and the sounds of holiday music, It really can be magical!

As I got older, and had a child of my own, it took on another meaning. It was all about the Joy in my daughters eyes and her excitement for the season. As a parent, you want to keep that energy going as long as you can afford, its infectious!

As we approach middle-age or perhaps a little later, and even as the kids are now adults, for me, it becomes more of an opportunity to Reconnect OR to just take some time to Disconnect!

It has become more of an opportunity rather than an event. I still enjoy the tastes, smells and sounds of the holiday but it’s more about the TimeOut to Relax, Regroup, Reevaluate and Reconnect.

This year, there’s a little plus because I now have a Tribe!!! I have a group of people who are looking for basically, a Better way, just like me!. They might be a bit rag-tag but yet, they are just like me in that they are looking for a better path through life.

They have recognized that their original blueprint was not serving them in the way that they would prefer, so they endeavor, they persist, they sit, they read, they memorize and they are supporting each other as we all work on making ourselves Better than we were the day before.

My wish for ALL of YOU, is that you Find it! Whatever it is, whatever you are searching for, I wholeheartedly Hope and Wish for you, that It comes your way and that you get to keep it for as long as it serves YOU!
