minutes remaining

I woke up at 5 o’clock, four hours earlier than usual, to the sound of dogs and my child snoring. In that hazy state between sleepiness and wakefulness, I reflected on my priorities.

One of them was recording my voice, a goal I had neglected due to life’s obstacles. As I reminisced about my youth, I recalled my fervor for learning, especially my aspiration to attend medical school. However, distractions sidetracked me from that goal.

Amidst my musings, I realized the importance of defining one’s desires clearly. I reflected on my past success, fueled by an intense desire to learn and a commitment to memorizing information. This dedication, I noted, is essential for pursuing any goal with conviction.

Transitioning to a metaphor of being on stage, I emphasized the need to have one’s “lines” memorized for life’s roles. Without a clear understanding of our goals and feelings, we risk confusion and lack of direction.

As I left my shed to sit in the car and warm up, witnessing a breathtaking sunrise, I felt gratitude for the beauty of the world. I expressed a desire to carry this positive feeling throughout the day.
