Breathe: inside me is a force that knows far more than I could ever image. Call it the future me or the Self, whoever it is, it knows that whatever I’m facing today is temporary. No matter the circumstances. My grandmother, whenever a difficult situation arose would say “this too shall pass”. And so far she has been right.
Where I choose to put my attention will greatly impact the quality of life that materializes as a result of those thoughts. I’m being tested in the toughest of challenges these past weeks as I am the care giver of my 93-year-old Mother. She has Alzheimer’s and 2 Sundays ago when into the hospital with DVT (blood clots) in her leg. Then this past Tuesday she had a near death experience that initiated actions that triggered a doctor’s referral for palliative/hospice care.
It’s been a huge challenge for me to focus on all the gotta do’s and pay much more attention to my Mom than I am capable of. This week has been a parade of care providers and social workers coming into the house. All of them have commended me on my calmness and Get-it- Done clarity. Even though I am behind on my assignments and slightly behind on the readings, I am applying all the teachings and gaining the benefit of the awareness being developed through MKE.
Most important is to not let the events of chaos dictate the path of intention and vision (DMP). Every action is a stepping stone to somewhere. It’s my emotion/feeling that I attach to the action that determines its impact.
Yes my Mom is dying, and I have done my best for 2.5 years to keep her healthy, happy and comfortable. I’ve sacrificed a lot of my personal freedoms and humbled myself to be of service to her and honor her wishes to not be admitted to a home. It’s been a special catharsis completing the life cycle with my Mom. And she has had a dream life for sure.
So now like my Mom so too I say goodbye to the old me. For it’s time to raze the limiting beliefs and self-destructive patterns that I have mothered for years and put them to rest. I now raise powerful intentional thoughts, beliefs, and actions to fill the vacuum and create a whole updated version of myself. I breathe and let peace and ease guide me to the mother lode because this too shall pass.
And most of all, William, don’t lose hope. There are solutions able to treat your mother’s condition being hidden from the common view. The MKE is a big step towards finding them! That said, I agree with Michael and Jen totally! 🙂
Will, your journey and the insights you’ve shared are profoundly moving. Your resilience and ability to find wisdom in the face of immense challenges are truly admirable. Your dedication as a caregiver for your mother is a testament to your love and commitment.
It’s clear that the Master Key Experience is not just a course but a transformative tool in your life. Your ability to remain calm and focused in such a demanding situation is a testament to the power of the program. Your reflection on how emotions shape our actions and the importance of maintaining your intention and vision during chaos is enlightening.
Saying goodbye to old limiting beliefs and embracing a new, empowered version of yourself is an incredible step. You’re creating a beautiful legacy through your caregiving and personal growth. Keep breathing, Will, and let peace and ease guide you on this remarkable journey. This too shall pass, and you’ll emerge even stronger. 🌟
