I am excitedly waiting for this to feel easier. So far, not so much! I can’t decide whether I’m remodeling or moving. If the truth be told, I believe it is a combination of both. Either of those require emptying, tearing down and letting go.
As I worked on revising my DMP (Definite Major Purpose) this week, I did a lot of revising! I’ve realized that I allowed too much clutter in my life both mentally and physically.
In terms of the physical, I am choosing to think differently about what I allow into the spaces around me. I work from my home office, and I can see that the clutter affects my efficiency and thoughts. This is also the area where my desk and computer reside, and I do most of my Master Key Assignments.
I’ve decided to name my computer “Athena”- it is derived from the Greek goddess of wisdom, courage, and inspiration. Athena also represents a powerful and knowledgeable presence. For this reason, I’ll start with my desktop this week. By choosing one space at a time, it will feel more manageable and rewarding. I want to guard against just moving what’s there to a pile somewhere else where I’ll have to deal with it again.
Last week’s blog picture was called “Step by Step” and I’m going to continue implementing that thought in steps. If you have any small tips on decluttering to share with me, I’d love to hear your insights?
In terms of the mental, I am continuing with my assignments to read “Og Mandino” – Scroll 1 with the suggestion from our class this week and doing the assigned readings and exercises each day. I trust that, along with my faith walk and guidance of the Holy Spirit, it will continue to feed my spirit moving me forward. See you next week!!
Hi Patricia, You are doing the exercises and making personal changes. One step at a time you are making the changes that serve you. Good work.
Patricia, you’ve reached the penultimate in personal development, MKE! Soon all your friends will be calling you “Athena!” 🙂
Good for you, Patricia. Keep taking those little steps forward and be amazed at the distance you cover! I never thought to name my computer, what a great idea! And Athena is a powerful name!
You’re taking brave steps towards clarity and peace inside and out. Naming your computer ‘Athena’ shows such inspiration! Your openness is inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Way to go Pat, you are bringing more clarity to your life with each exercise. Cheering you on.
