Get in a party mood because we are celebrating my birthday! I am born anew!! Now, onto my tale…
Cement. Gosh, there sure is a lot of it and different kinds even…takes different types of sledgehammers and picks. At times, chunks fall off and other times my efforts seem to be causing “not a tremor” in the cement.
I leaned into the Law of Relaxation last week and BAM! It hit me. It’s wrong. It’s all WRONG! I was in tears. Called my Mastermind partner and left a blubbering message.
Now, it really wasn’t ALL wrong but it wasn’t RIGHT. Did I change a PPN? You betcha. Was I distressed? Off and on.
I was overwhelmed thinking I have to start ALL OVER. Redo EVERYTHING. Change it ALL! Oh my! I’m going to fall behind.
And then…
No I’m not. There is no behind. I’m exactly where I need to be. I am LEARNING and GROWING. I am METAMORPHOSIZING. And I wouldn’t even be HERE if I hadn’t done what I’ve been doing!
Go Mona, go Mona! It’s your birthday! It’s your birthday!! (hear it, sing it–get your arms in the air–and dance with me!)
I celebrate that I’m am chipping away at that cement, discovering gold, discovering that it’s fools’ gold and keep on chipping. The gold is peeking…a light shining from deep down. It’s honest. It’s scary.
And I’m okay that, as I delve deeper, I may discover that’s fool’s gold too. I am at peace with that because as The Scroll Marked III reads on page 64,
“…it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step…I always take another step. If that is of no avail I take another, and yet another.” Og Mandino
I persist. I take another step. (another swing at that cement!)
I have most definitely cracked the cement and I celebrate that!
